When the Lights Go on again          Our summer 2010 production

This fantastic show from the pen of Roy Sault tells the story of family life in England during the war years, culminating in a VE / VJ day party.

The audience are invited to sing along with the songs in the show.

The audience will laugh and cry and join the family on their way through some difficult times and some fun times. It is  a very clever observation on the humour that saw the nation through those dark years. School Concerts, Rationing, The Saturday Night Dance, ARP Wardens, Air Raids, Queues and Spam all get a look in. The of course, there is the Camp Concert complete with Sergeant Major and his motley crew.

This show has over 35 great songs from the era which the audience can and will sing along to including:

The White Cliffs of Dover
Kiss Me Good Night Sgt Major
When the Lights Go On Again
We'll Meet Again
You'd be So Nice To Come Home To
Hey Little Hen
Run Rabbit Run
There'll Always be an England
Yours
I'll be Seeing You
I'll Walk Alone
